May 2024 news

We have had a very busy term 5!
Our Year 6 went up to the Houses of Parliament for a tour and a workshop. They also met our MP Helen Whately and asked her lots of questions. Years 1 and 2 have visited Otterden Estate where they took part in a woodland workshop which was great fun.
The Year 5 and 6 choir had an incredible time being part of an opera in London. They performed and sang in Puccini's opera La Boheme at Conway Hall - what an experience!
We also held our International Evening at the start of this term, to link in with our creative curriculum topic of 'Wonderful World'. Many children and their families joined us for the evening bringing food from around the world to share. We also had a number of musical performances from the children including singing a song in Zulu, English and Shona (taught to us by Revd Cathrine). It was a lovely evening.
Year 4 have enjoyed forest school and Year 1 have been swimming (the first time Year 1 have been swimming with the school!).
Our KS2 choir have performed in our Collaboration Choir concert at the Alexander Centre in Faversham. The collaboration choir consists of choirs from Hernhill, Boughton, Ospringe, Ethelbert and Davington schools. The children performed concerts over two nights to audiences of family members from all the schools.
We have also been very sporty this term taking part in tennis, football and gymnastic competitions. Our football have also just won the small school's league which was a brilliant achievement - well done to all involved.
And now onwards to term 6 with all its summer and end of year events!
